Charles Dian

The Charles "DIAN" listed on this memorial is probably our Charles Dion/Dyan that was spouse of Eliza Baker. Eliza's parents are all buried in this cemetery. Eliza remarried and was buried in Keene NH with her second husband and her sister Jeanette. There is no other proof or evidence of where Charles was buried. The Poplar Grove Cemetery in Virginia can not be proved whether it is our Charles and since he died after the war, he would not have been buried there. Charles and Eliza lived in VT in 1880 and he died in Fort Edward NY 2 weeks after the 1880 census. I am assuming they buried him in his wife's hometown of Salisbury where her and her family were.
