French Baptist Church - Hull, Quebec
Mom and dad lived in an apartment in the back of the church. Mom talked about water being frozen in the basin when they would get up in the morning, so it lacked a lot of comforts we now take for granted. However, the rent was affordable and it was close to Canada Packers. I believe this church burned down. In 1947, dad was building a home in Leitrim, Ontario, south of Ottawa - straight down Bank Street and beyond. He would work his shift and then drive out and work on the house. Mom got so lonely, she packed everything up and moved to Leitrim even though the house was far from finished.
